Hi, right side slingshot/lane, upper right side playfield lights.
Problem: Fuse 106 is blowing (5amp) I replace the fuse and it is fine
while game is idle, Played a few balls and it will trip it off, fuse
is hot, etc...I traced the violet/white wire, made sure no metals tabs
were contacting the sockets, replaced the fuse again and they stayed
on for 4 long balls during the game, then near the end of my last,
tripped off again. This time the fuse looked better but none the less,
it was still burned. I need a picture of the bottom playfield
underside near the back, or anyone with information on this: What
socket does the double violet/white wire, go to on the underside rear?
I have it on the socket light that has the solid double purple (which
is next to the thing ramp on the topside) opposite tab of course.
This wire is connected to the clip that goes to the phone plastic, and
the other violet/white goes to the right side slingshot. I ask because
when I first got the game, these two wires were hanging unattached
together. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, James
Re: Right side playfield GI problem with TAF-- help!
Sounds like you have it on the right socket. Middle of playfield about 8
inches up from the bottom. Two purple wires and one yellow wire one side,
two white/purple stripe wires and one yellow wire the other side. The yellow
wires feed off to other GI sockets.
You probably have a flaky socket. Unhook them one at a time until you don't
blow the fuse and then you'll find it. LTG

Re: Right side playfield GI problem with TAF-- help!
Right on! So far, so good, after three games. I started going through
the daisy chain and nothing UNTIL the very last one and bingo, a tiny
piece of round metal was in the socket under the bulb. I also noticed
a problem with my ''g'' lamp not lighting so I changed the socket with
a high speed socket and that fixed it as well. The only problem I have
left is ''festers tunnel hunt'' in the center window is not lighting.
Everything else works great. Thanks for the help! James

If the tunnel hunt is on a light board, remove the light board and reflow
the solder on the pins the connector plugs onto. LTG

i tried a couple, I'll do the whole thing though. I wiggled the
connector.. but no dice
Re: Right side playfield GI problem with TAF-- help!
well, looks like the diode on d6 on that light board (the light for
festers tunnel hunt) is bad. I checked the daisy chain wire (red with
black stripe) and all was well...Now to replace! Thanks, James
