Echoes of Faydwer

Hey Everyone,

Since no one really posts here, and since my ISP won't supply this
group, I figured I'd start some discussion in hopes that my ISP will
eventually answer my request to add this group to their newsserver.

Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone has played the Echoes of Faydwer
beta. I have not tried it myself but I'm looking forward to an
expansion for the first time since EQ2 has been released.

On the Podcast the Sony people described the expansion as "epic" which
definitely has helped fuel my enthusiasm for the new release. On the
other hand, these peopple would have a bias about it.

At any rate, I hope this fuels some discussion. I recently went back to
EQ2 after playing WoW for a while (was just boring to me) and then
going back to EQ for a while (oh the memories). EverQuest 2 just seems
to fit my style and Sony has done a great job of evolving it since it's
release.

Cheers,
Travis

I would hope that sony adopt the EQ2 quest system for EQ1.

I bought the EoF expansion and installed it within hours of it going live.
That
was Wednesday. Today is Saturday, and despite a 2 DVD install, I am STILL
waiting for the 56 hours of update required to play. Before I bought the
expansion, it was a 79 hour update. I am FINALLY down to 11 1/2 hours
