In a word no. I suspect that you will get good performance in FSX but you
will not be able to have most or all of the sliders to the right. The
computer does not exist that will be able to do that. This program appears
to have been designed with performance in the future. You should expect to
have good visuals (better than FS9) and fluid motion and flight in the 20's,
perhaps 30's for frames per second with some balance work on your detail
settings. and minimum autogen scenery and traffic.

Unfortunately at this time your hardware is way ahead of the software. FSX
is not designed for multicore processors etc., so they have some work to
catch up..This has been the source of problems since FSX was released. Maybe
with SP1 you will be able to try it.

I don't understand why you don't just simply have 3 DVD burners instead of 3
seperate things
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827136108
it burns DVD's. dual layer, it burns CD's
and it's cheap
as for running flight simulator, nothing can run flight simulator with full
sliders to the right. I have a system *similiar* to the one your buying, and
i'm still disappointed in the performance
btw.. make sure you turn ON anisotropic filtering, for whatever reason that
runs faster then bilinear or triliner .. at least on my system it does

My system does though,
Intel Core Duo E6600 2 X 2,4 GHz
2Mb RAM
512Mb GEROTCE 7900GS PCI Express
Matrox TripleHead 2Go
3 X flat screens
Runs smoothly between 17 and 25 FPS, will go up to 50 FPS over open country
or sea.
No thanks to me though, I think I was very lucky with the advice I got from
Len Hickman...
