Okay, I picked up CoV mostly to get the CoH perks, but... hey, this is fun.

1) The automatic combine if you drop a higher Enhancement in a slot is nice
- did this appear in CoH with I6, too, or is it CoV-only right now?

2) Cut scenes? Freaking cut scenes? STUPID, POINTLESS, INTERRUPTING cut
scenes? Aaaaagh!

3) While looking at the things I was supposed to get with the DVD edition,
I noticed "seven HeroClix figures." What the... I only got one! (Pulls up
box spacer.) Oh. But I still only have six. Did they change this or did I
get cheated out of a 'Clixian? (Not that I give a screaming rat's tootie
about it...)

And only one defeat so far - just got taken down in a huge mob of CoTs.
Heh. Maybe if I had that other 'Clix I'd be more powerful...

I'm pretty sure it came in with I6, as did the
percentage-of-enhancement readouts.

Some of them can be kinda cool, though. Sadly there aren't all that
many after the first dozen levels.

I believe that Ghost Widow may not have been included in some of the
boxes, you might need to write in to get her. But I could be wrong.

Is there a list of the Magnificent Seven somewhere? I couldn't find one.

And could someone explain what the hell HeroClix is, anyway? All I can find
are sites that assume you're already an indoctrinated obsessive maven,
without a word of explanation. I gather it's some sort of card game, but
the purpose of the figurines mystifies me. But then, lots in this strange
gaming world - one I merely visit, on the fringes - mystifies me.

Heroclix is a competive "game" like Collectable Card Games (Like Magic,
Pikachu, Yugioah(SP?) where you use your figures to "battle" with other
people based on rules and point buying.

As Heroclix is pretty much the only cross company that does these, they
have them for DC Comics, Marvel Comics and City of Heroes.

Heroclix is a battle strategy game of figurines that have character
statistics. The "thing" about them is that they are figurine and
counter all in one, so if you take damage or heal or whatever, you can
rotate the dial in their base--where the "clix" comes from--to
represent the changing statistics.

The figurines replace the cards,

Every time a figure takes damage the bas is rotates that many "clicks".
Color coding of the readout in the base determines the figures abilities.

That's the essence of it anyway.

The one with the mad scientist is pretty funny, at least. I find it very
irritating to have the game do that freeeeeze...now watch a movie...BACK in
the action thing, though. Hated it even in games where it was integral.

The only time I was *glad* for a cut scene was when I was playing my
stalker alt and was in the middle of a big battle where I was getting
my butt kicked. In the time while the cut scene was playing, my Hide
kicked back in again and I was able to get another Assassin's Strike
off on a big mob and that turned the tide of the battle.

Felt like cheating though... ;-)
