In a four-player game of Wizard, the first player leads a Jester. The
second player plays a Wizard. The third player plays a Heart. Does the
fourth player have to play a Heart (if he/she has one) or can he/she
play any card? In other words, after a Jester has been led, does the
first suited (non-Jester / non-Wizard) card played determine the suit
led, and thus force the fourth player to play a heart after the third
player has played one? Or does the Wizard played by the second player
allow the third AND THE FOURTH players to play any card, even though a
Wizard was not led originally?

I would be especially grateful to hear from anyone experiencing this
situation in a Wizard tournament.

The way I read the rules, the fourth player can play any card.

Yes. I notice that the FAQ at http://www.wizardcards.com/faqs.php
agrees with this (see the eighth question).

Of course if the second player played a heart and the third a wizard,
the fourth *would* have to play a heart.

Yes, that would be interesting, especially if the answer is different.
